Growing up in Chicago, A-WAY was taught to hustle or have nothing. Although music has always been around, A-WAY early on had a talent in sports but the the art of music stuck with A-WAY from his father being a DJ at different events with a big catalog of classic music, to performing at army based talent shows with his Uncle, to having freestyle battles with his cousins, brother, and close friends.
After the passing of his brother Frank & winning freestyle battles in college at Bethune Cookman University, A-WAY was inspired to begin the dreams he shared with his brother in becoming one of the most inspirational, motivational, and legendary artist/mogul in the entertainment industry today with his eye capturing performance, smooth rap/r&b style, handsome looks and unique verbal picture painting lyrics, he is well on his way which was shown when A-WAY performed on a B.E.T. Network's TV show viewed by millions. A-WAY has also been featured in XXL Magazine as an "Artist To Watch" and he was premiered on REVOLT TV Network's UPLUGGED (tv show).
Featured on many top blog sites such as MTV.com, allhiphop.com, fakeshoredrive.com, worldstarhiphop.com, 247HH & more, A-WAY's music is loved nationwide. Starting HU$TLE WARD RECORD$, LLC in 2020 and recently inking a distribution deal with Equity Distribution a sub-company under the Roc Nation umbrella, A-WAY is making a way not only for himself but also for artist like him navigating through the industry the right way. Being a jack of all trades A-WAY has also stepped into acting and landed roles in Showtime's "THE CHI" (tv show), Star's "POWER FORCE" (tv show), CHIRAQ 3 (the movie), "SEPTEMBER RAYNE" (the movie), "NEEDS & WANTS" (the play) and is currently producing his own films.
